Ice Hockey for Kids Under 15
For those completely new to Ice Hockey the Ice Arena runs a learn to play hockey program for kids with no previous experience. The focus is on learning the fundamentals of ice skating, stick handling, passing and shooting. We have three grades in our U15 division:
Kiwis is for kids starting out playing Ice Hockey.If you can skate we will teach you how to play Hockey. Here you will learn the fundamental skills of stick handling, passing, shooting and playing games all in a fun environment.
Training once a week on a Mondays 5.15- 6.15pm
Atoms - U12:
Kids continue to build and develop hockey skills through drills and games.
Training twice a week on Tuesdays 5.15-6.15pm and Thursday 5.15-6.15pm.
As well training kids compete in the Southern Ice Hockey league playing cross games against other clubs about once a month.
Bantams - U15
Continuing to learn and improve hockey sills through drills and games at training.
Training twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursday.
As well training kids compete in the Southern Ice Hockey league playing games against other clubs about once a month. Note this league is a contact but a non-checking league.
